A new brand and website for cross-sector innovation

Challenge

The Dragon’s Heart Institute is a group of radical leaders and innovators. They’re challenging the status quo of healthcare and working together across traditional sector boundaries to address health equality across Wales and beyond. Their mission is a bold and very worthy one, and so their brand and website ought to inspire and lead, just as they do.

Solution

We worked very closely with the DHI team in the upfront strategy sessions to truly understand what drives them, what their aspirations are and how they’re leading the way to success. After mapping audiences and exploring the opportunities, we set about developing a clear path forward for pushing the brand visuals and creating engaging website that can serve as the foundational hub for helping the DHI achieve their goals.

A vivid brand to forge real change

Our brief was to elevate the DHI’s current branding and develop visual devices that add depth, energy and a sense of forward propulsion that can capture the ethos of the institute.

We embraced this with a suite of patterns, icons and colours that work together as a modern tapestry – drawing inspiration from the natural landscape of Wales as a subtle nod to the DHI’s proud Celtic beginnings.

“Luna 9 walked us through a comprehensive process of audience identification and prioritisation, and suggested key messages and a user experience to maximise our impact with these target groups.”

A website to welcome innovators, leaders and learners

The most important element of the new website was to ensure that the three pillars of the DHI’s offering were clearly communicated, and that the opportunity to make contact was always close-by. The DHI thrives on the collaboration of members, and so the main goal is to attract and encourage user engagement for a variety of channels, from course applications to promoting healthcare innovation.
